The following walkers have kindly sent in the photos below:

Martha Musonza Holman (Abergavenny) and her colleague Lucinda Walker (Cardiff) from the Love Zimbabwe Charity After many hours of climbing the Abergavenny three peaks in the hail and rain, Martha and Lucinda completed the challenge. They said “We really appreciate everybody who has donated to our fundraiser so far. We are leaving our page open for anybody who would still like to donate to support our project of improving the menstrual health and hygiene of women and girls in rural Zimbabwe. This is the link for our fundraiser Click Here Thank you so much for all the support”

The Abergavenny Chronicle also has an article about Martha and Lucinda taking on the Three Peaks Trial.

Walkers Comments:

Rachel Sweetman
Thank you so much for a great day - it was all so well organised and welcoming! Look forward to coming back next year and hoping to get all three!

Mark Ketteringham
Thank you so much for organising another great 3 Peaks Trial day. As always, it was well worth the long return journey my son and I made from Southampton, and I was pleased with my improved time doing the Silver route. We enjoyed the day, and the beautiful countryside and views. It's a few years since I last did the Gold route, on my own, and so our joint challenge and goal is to prepare and complete the Gold route together at next year's 3 Peaks Trial. Great organisation on the day, and our thanks to all who made it such an enjoyable day.

Thank you for a great event!

Thanks for a great day out on the hills! Being a runner (and only Vet 70 to finish!) on the Gold route, I saw all 3 summits and chatted with lots of walkers on the uphill bits.
I'll be back next year to go over that bridge at Glangrwyney!

WALKERS TAKING PART IN THE 2022 GOLD AND SILVER ROUTES
HAD TO FOLLOW A MAJOR DIVERSION DUE TO ON-GOING BRIDGE CLOSURE

GLANGRWYNEY BRIDGE CLOSED -
DIVERSION DETAILS ISSUED TO PARTICIPANTS BEFORE EVENT DAY

Road/Bridge Closure Information: Following flooding which occurred during Storm Dennis in 2020 a long stretch of Glangrwyney Road, which approaches the river bridge, had partially collapsed with damage also occurring to the bridge. The road was recently repaired and on 11th May Powys County Council advised us that walkers on the 3PT would also be allowed to cross Glangrwyney Bridge on 25th June. However on 9th June PCC changed this advice and said walkers would not now be allowed to cross due to the on-going repairs. Walkers on the Gold and Silver routes must use the diversion, details will be issued on 12/06/2022.
